When living in China, it's sometimes easy to forget that we are in a different country, with a different set of rules than back home.
Every year, a multitude of foreigners are blacklisted from China due to some action they made, either on purpose or by accident. Additionally, the Visa process and misinformation surrounding it, can definitely cause some foreigners to make mistakes.
The Chinese Government has not published a list of certainly blacklist-able situations. However, here is a list of common mistakes that have previously caused someone to be blacklisted.
Overstaying your current Visa
Entering China illegally (such as under an incorrect Visa type)
Providing incorrect information to the Visa office, such as intent, education and more.
Working or doing business on a Visa that is not permitted to do so, such as on a Travel Visa.
As always, it's very important to ensure you are abiding the law in China, and trying your best to be a model citizen.
